ICT & online safety
At Garstang St Thomas we take online safety very seriously. We follow Lancashire County Council guidelines and use their filters within school to make sure internet users are not able to access unacceptable materials.
- The school has a comprehensive “Acceptable Use Policy” that all the staff, governors, adults volunteering in school and children are asked to sign and adhere to.
- We follow an e-safety scheme of work with each class having separate age-appropriate plans.
- Monthly internet safety newsletters are published which contain the most up-to-date information possible to help parents/carers and staff keep children safe. To view these newsletters, please click here.
On the iLEARN section of our website, we have quick links with information for children and also a ‘REPORT IT’ button.
